Liquid Cosmetics Shipping from China: Leak-Test and Carton Planning
How should importers check liquid cosmetic packaging before export?
Start with the exact product and shipment
Even when a product is accepted as general cargo, leakage can damage other cartons and lead to warehouse rejection. The retail package, inner protection and master carton all need to work together.
Make the handoff actionable
Confirm cap/closure, tamper seal, leak protection, absorbent/secondary containment where appropriate, upright orientation, carton strength and pallet wrap. Conduct a representative pack test and document carton dimensions and net/gross weights.
Confirm the boundary before cargo moves
Do not assume “cosmetics” means no dangerous-goods or product compliance review. Formula and claims may change requirements; transport acceptance is separate from market authorization.
Prepare a quote request
Include the product name and model, supplier city and pickup address, destination ZIP code, cargo-ready date, total pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight. State whether freight is palletized, stackable, temperature-sensitive or subject to special handling. For regulated or restricted goods, attach the current product documents and request written carrier review before delivery to the warehouse. Review the [relevant ANELGO service page](/services/perfume-aerosol-shipping.html) and send the details through the [shipment inquiry form](../index.html#quote).
