LCL Cargo to the USA: CFS Receiving and Cutoff Checklist for Exporters
What should a supplier prepare before delivering LCL cargo to a CFS?
Start with the exact product and shipment
LCL cargo moves through consolidation facilities, so warehouse receiving rules, cargo labels, dimensions and cutoff timing matter. A late or unidentified piece may miss the planned consolidation.
Make the handoff actionable
Confirm the CFS delivery address and receiving window, booking/reference, outer marks, piece count and final dimensions. Ask whether pallets, hazardous declarations, photos or special handling approvals are required before pickup.
Confirm the boundary before cargo moves
A supplier’s “cargo ready” message does not mean the CFS has received and accepted the freight. Keep proof of delivery and resolve exceptions before cutoff.
Prepare a quote request
Include the product name and model, supplier city and pickup address, destination ZIP code, cargo-ready date, total pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight. State whether freight is palletized, stackable, temperature-sensitive or subject to special handling. For regulated or restricted goods, attach the current product documents and request written carrier review before delivery to the warehouse. Review the [relevant ANELGO service page](/services/battery-electronics-shipping.html) and send the details through the [shipment inquiry form](../index.html#quote).
