Medical Devices from China to the USA: Importer and Freight Readiness
What must be settled before a medical-device shipment is booked?
Start with the exact product and shipment
Medical devices may need FDA establishment, listing, product and entry requirements depending on device type and role. Freight terms do not establish authorization to market or import.
Make the handoff actionable
Have the US regulatory owner confirm device classification and applicable FDA status, identify the importer and broker, verify product identifiers and labeling, and send accurate handling, temperature and security needs to the logistics provider.
Confirm the boundary before cargo moves
Do not state that a device is “FDA approved” unless the exact regulatory pathway supports that claim. Confirm shipment-specific status with FDA-facing regulatory professionals.
Prepare a quote request
Include the product name and model, supplier city and pickup address, destination ZIP code, cargo-ready date, total pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight. State whether freight is palletized, stackable, temperature-sensitive or subject to special handling. For regulated or restricted goods, attach the current product documents and request written carrier review before delivery to the warehouse. Review the [relevant ANELGO service page](/) and send the details through the [shipment inquiry form](../index.html#quote).
