Importing Toys from China: CPC, Testing Records and CPSC eFiling Prep
What should a toy importer prepare before a shipment is tendered?
Start with the exact product and shipment
Toy shipments often require product-specific testing and certification. For imported regulated consumer products, CPSC certificate eFiling is in effect for general imports as of July 8, 2026.
Make the handoff actionable
Ask the importer or compliance lead to map each SKU to applicable rules, test reports and certificate data; confirm who will submit required data through the importer’s customs workflow; keep SKU, model and carton references consistent.
Confirm the boundary before cargo moves
A supplier’s generic test report may not cover the shipped model or production lot. A forwarder does not validate product safety certification.
Prepare a quote request
Include the product name and model, supplier city and pickup address, destination ZIP code, cargo-ready date, total pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight. State whether freight is palletized, stackable, temperature-sensitive or subject to special handling. For regulated or restricted goods, attach the current product documents and request written carrier review before delivery to the warehouse. Review the [relevant ANELGO service page](/services/battery-electronics-shipping.html) and send the details through the [shipment inquiry form](../index.html#quote).
