After ocean or air arrival, palletized cargo may need a domestic less-than-truckload (LTL) move to a warehouse. The domestic carrier prices and handles that leg using information that may differ from the international freight quote. A port or CFS release, customs clearance and an available pickup appointment must also be coordinated.

Describe the freight unit accurately

List pallet count, final length, width and height, gross weight per pallet, stackability, commodity description and packaging. Include any overhang, unusual shape, fragile handling or hazardous classification. A reweigh or remeasurement can change the carrier’s rating and charges.

Confirm the pickup point is ready

State whether cargo is at a marine terminal, CFS, airport warehouse or another facility. Confirm customs release, document release, freight payment, availability date, appointment rules and free-time or storage exposure. A trucking quote cannot by itself release cargo from the facility.

Describe the delivery location

Provide the receiver’s full address and ZIP code, business hours, dock or forklift availability, appointment requirement and access restrictions. Disclose limited access, residential delivery, liftgate, inside service, floor-loaded goods or unloading labor needs. Ask which services are included and which are separately rated.

Clarify rating and delivery exceptions

Ask the LTL provider or forwarder which freight-class or commodity information it needs, whether density or another classification method applies, and what happens if actual measurements differ. Confirm appointment, redelivery, detention, storage and accessorial charge triggers in writing. Classification should be confirmed with the responsible carrier or broker, not guessed.

Request the complete domestic leg

Send pallet details, facility name, destination ZIP, delivery conditions, customs-release status and target date through the [ANELGO inquiry form](../index.html#quote). Ask for separate international, destination-facility and domestic delivery line items.
