Oversized Cargo from China: Dimensions and Handling Data for a Project Quote
What measurements are essential before asking for an oversized-cargo quote?
Start with the exact product and shipment
Out-of-gauge cargo is priced and routed around actual dimensions, lifting points, center of gravity, packing and equipment constraints. A product photo alone is not enough for a workable plan.
Make the handoff actionable
Provide packed length, width and height, gross weight, center of gravity if known, lifting/fork pockets, packaging drawings, factory/port access limits and delivery-site crane or unloading capability. Ask the provider to state assumptions and exclusions.
Confirm the boundary before cargo moves
Never round dimensions down or omit protrusions. Route, vessel, permits and handling depend on verified cargo data and current provider capability.
Prepare a quote request
Include the product name and model, supplier city and pickup address, destination ZIP code, cargo-ready date, total pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight. State whether freight is palletized, stackable, temperature-sensitive or subject to special handling. For regulated or restricted goods, attach the current product documents and request written carrier review before delivery to the warehouse. Review the [relevant ANELGO service page](/) and send the details through the [shipment inquiry form](../index.html#quote).
