Pallet Dimensions for China-to-US Freight: Check Height, Weight and Handling
Which pallet details should be confirmed before a pickup or LTL quote?
Start with the exact product and shipment
Palletized cargo is measured by the loaded footprint and height, including overhang and pallet base. Missing dimensions can create rework, reclassification or equipment mismatch.
Make the handoff actionable
Provide the number of pallets, loaded length/width/height, gross weight per pallet, stackability, overhang, access and whether pallet exchange is expected. Photograph one completed unit beside a tape measure before mass production.
Confirm the boundary before cargo moves
Never quote from product dimensions alone; pallet packaging changes the transport footprint. Confirm wood packaging and receiver pallet requirements separately.
Prepare a quote request
Include the product name and model, supplier city and pickup address, destination ZIP code, cargo-ready date, total pieces, packed dimensions and gross weight. State whether freight is palletized, stackable, temperature-sensitive or subject to special handling. For regulated or restricted goods, attach the current product documents and request written carrier review before delivery to the warehouse. Review the [relevant ANELGO service page](/services/battery-electronics-shipping.html) and send the details through the [shipment inquiry form](../index.html#quote).
